YouTube Channel of the United States National Archives and Record Administration has recently uploaded some neat films from NARA’s vaults. Perhaps the most interesting of these archival materials is the WWII propaganda film “Why We Fight”.

One hopes that Canadian archives will soon begin to upload their holdings of film to YouTube.
Ha! The chances that NAC (oops, I mean LAC) will ever get around to uploading our nation’s visual history onto You-Tube is laughable. Cripes, this is the same institution that, over the past two decades, has consistently cut back on its hours of operation! Thereby making it nigh impossible for researchers to maximize their travel/research dollars when in Ottawa. I’m all for digital uploads, but not until our hours of access to the primary docs improves. Priorities people, priorities.
